Oct. 21 Meeting Notes
It was great meeting everyone on Saturday! I thought I would just provide here a summary of what we talked about so everyone has idea. We talked about so much, that I thought it would be good to write it all down.
Code of Conduct:
1) Be dedicated
2) On time
3) Respect peoples opinions
4) One mic
5) Cellphones away
6) Be open with officers and with feelings
7) Speak to each other with respect
8) Cooperation
9) Participation
10) Assign tasks at officers meetings
11) Take responsibility for one's actions
12) Be optimistic
13) Look out for each other
14) Have responsible fun

Some ideas:
1) Shirts (like the Naz "Undergraduate Association"- Could be part of the budget!)
2) Incorporating the terminology of the senate meetings like we heard
Goals:
1) Curfew
2) Officer bonding
3) Purpose- violence
4) Community Service (maybe Dec. 2- everyone give Nursing Home idea and soup kitchen idea)
5) Create more activity for youth
6) More suburban involvement
7) An annual event- maybe a talent show?
Plans:
1) Community service-Dec. 2
- possible ideas= Soup Kitchen, Nursing Home idea, Food Drive, Scholarship Fund, Clean-Up
2) City & Suburban Event
- hold off planning till November but possible ideas= workshops or all day events
3) Video--> Day in the Life
Short-Term Events:
1) Meeting on Oct. 25--> read the Talk show packet if you are helping out, give Kristina a list of all the Nursing Homes you know after you call them and ask them if they would like any volunteers by Oct. 28. Some of us have other responsibilities like registration and what not. Shante and I are preparing a little piece on Red Ribbon Week so everyone wear red if they can!
